AFTER YOUR BROW APPOINTMENT
-
Your brows will go through a healing process. They may initially appear darker and more defined than your final healed result. This is completely normal.
As they heal, the pigment will soften and lighten.
-
For the first 14 days:
- Keep your brows dry.
- Do not stand directly under the shower and allow water to run over your face or brows. When showering, keep your face turned away from the water and avoid allowing the shower stream to hit your brows directly.
- Do not apply makeup, skincare, or other products directly to the brows unless specifically instructed to use a product provided by the studio.
- Avoid excessive sweating and strenuous exercise.
- Avoid picking, scratching, rubbing, or peeling the brows.
- Allow any natural flaking or shedding to happen on its own.
- Avoid retinol, tretinoin, acids, and exfoliating products around the brow area.
- Avoid direct sun exposure to the brows.
- Do not use tanning beds.
-
Additional healing precautions:
- Avoid face-down massages for 1 week following your appointment.
- Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating during the initial healing period.
- Protect your brows from unnecessary sun exposure while they heal.
-
Don't panic during the healing process!
Your brows can change dramatically during healing. They may look darker immediately after the procedure, then appear lighter or even seem as though portions of the pigment have disappeared.
Trust the process. Your skin is healing, and the final result takes time to develop.
Please do not judge your brows during the early stages of healing. Your healed results are what matter.
YOUR FOLLOW-UP / TOUCH-UP
Your follow-up appointment is an important part of the brow process. Once your brows have completely healed, we can evaluate pigment retention, color, shape, and symmetry and determine whether any refinement is needed.
Please allow approximately 6–12 weeks for your brows to fully heal before your follow-up.
Remember: permanent cosmetics are a process, not an instant result. Beautiful healed brows require patience, proper aftercare, and time for your skin to do its job.
Thank you for trusting Microblading by Autumn with your brows.
